About Us
Nevşehir University Arts& Science Faculty Department of Sociology was established in 2007. It is the first Sociology Department among the universities which were built after 2003. Sociology’s importance and function do not come from the only being the basic science. Because of realities such as globalism and terror that change world’s face, sociology became more crucial.

Associate Prof. Hasan Yavuzer, Associate Prof. Ensar Çetin, Assistant Prof. Hulusi Yılmaz, Assistant Prof. Neval Karanfil, Assistant Prof. Çağdaş Ümit Yazgan, Assistant Prof. Ahmet Faruk Yıldırım, Research Assistant Dr. Nihan Ozansoy Tunçdemir, Research Assistant Dr. Linda Barış, Research Assistant Yasemin Sancar Koyuncuoğlu, Research Assistant Hakan Bakkal, and Research Assistant Mevlüt UĞURLU.
Sociology Department:
- Interprets social life’s evolution, circumstances,societies,functions and alternation through sociologic thoughts data,
- Analyses social activity,interaction, and variation according to current conditions of the society,
- Disciplines scholars as being free to evaluate their community,
- Shares academic staff’s and scholars’ know-how and experience with national and international community for our city’s, country’s and humanbeing’s sake.
